Jacob Campbell
Golf Agronomy Team

Role & Background: Jacob handles the day-to-day planning of the agronomy team, chemical/fertilizer applications and other jobs preparing the course for your round. He graduated from N.C. State in 2023 with a B.S. in Turfgrass Science and a Minor in AG Business.
Fun Fact: Jacob was on the Bass Fishing Team at N.C. State
Justin Cianfarra
Golf Agronomy Team

Role & Background: At Finley, Justin oversees the day-to-day operations and agronomic decisions of the UNC Golf teams practice facilities, in conjunction with the golf coaches and Kyle Gentry, Director of Agronomy. Justin previously worked at Walnut Creek Country Club and Prestonwood Country Club and received his degree in Turfgrass Management from Wayne Community College in 2019. He joined us here at Finley Golf Club as Assistant Superintendent in early 2022 before becoming Team Facility Superintendent in May 2023.
Fun Fact: Justin's favorite hole at Finley is Hole #7
Robert Costa, PGA
Golf Professional Team

Role & Background: Robert serves as the Head Golf Professional at Finley Golf Club. His roles include overseeing Golf shop operations and events as well as helping the development and implementation of learning opportunities. Robert takes pride in facilitating a fun and unique experience for all members and Patrons of Finley Golf Club.
Fun Fact: Robert has been married to his lovely wife, Lara, since 2000. They have 2 boys named Christopher (13) and Charlie (8) and have a 2-year-old dog daughter, Brady.
Tyler Currin
Golf Performance Team

Role & Background: Tyler oversees Finley’s Golf Performance Programs, and is responsible for support of our Women's and Men's golf teams, serves as tournament director for all competitions, and operates "The Nest", our new equipment performance studio built to grow your game. Tyler has been at Finley Golf Club since 2010 and is a certified master club fitter.
Fun Fact: Tyler went viral in 2018 for his hole in one in 4 inches of snow from the golf shop steps hitting into 18 green at FGC!
Kyle Gentry
Director of Agronomy

Role & Background: At Finley, Kyle oversees all areas related to golf course maintenance, conditioning and standards. He is an alumnus of University of North Carolina - Greensboro and Guilford Technical Community College where he received his Turfgrass Management degree. Kyle has over 20 years of experience in the golf course industry, with a resume that includes clubs such as Greensboro Country Club, Chevy Chase Club and Pinehurst No. 2.
Fun Fact: Kyle once assisted the United States Secret Service, to prepare a golf course for a round of golf for a former President of the United States.
Jake Hawkins
Golf Operations Team

Role & Background: At Finley, Jake manages our golf outside operations, attendants and ambassadors. He is a 2023 UNC Kenan Flagler graduate and a Morehead-Cain Scholar. During his time at Carolina, Jake worked for Carolina’s Football team as a film editor and has a strong passion for Carolina athletics.
Fun Fact: Jake once went on a month-long backpacking trip in Alaska where his group ran out of food.
Rob Jeske
General Manager

Role & Background: Rob partners with UNC Athletics leadership to develop and execute both short and long-term strategy for Finley GC. Rob has over 30 years of experience in golf; as a player, coach, consultant and executive. Rob earned his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Fun Fact: Rob and his wife Katie are proud parents of three children, all of whom were student-athletes and graduated from East Chapel Hill HS.
Max Lehmann
Golf Operations Team

Role & Background: At Finley, Max helps manage both our golf shop operations team and outside operations team. Max graduated from Chapel Hill High in 2013 and then went on to graduate from High Point University in 2017, with a major in communications and a minor in sport management.

Harry Lindsay
Golf Professional Team

Role & Background: As assistant golf professional, Harry provides golf instruction, clinics, and other developmental programs at Finley. With a retail background, Harry also supports golf shop merchandising and operations to ensure patrons enjoy the clubhouse experience at Finley as much as the golf experience. Harry is currently pursuing membership in the PGA of America via the PGM associate program which focuses on the people, the business, and the game of golf.
Fun Fact: Harry is originally from northern Virginia and is a die-hard Commanders fan
Carl Oliveira
Golf Agronomy Team

Role & Background: Carl Oliveira has been employed by Finley Golf Club since 2004. Recently, Carl currently oversees Finley’s Asset Management and provides business management support to our golf agronomy team. A graduate of both the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Carl works closely with our agronomy team, as well as with the Director of Golf, the General Manager, the Department of Athletics.
Fun Fact: Carl, a father of 25-year-old triplets, currently lives in North Raleigh with his wife Jen and two black labs Pico and Hazel.
Katie Thompson
Golf Operations Team

Role & Background: Katie handles brand, marketing, and business development. She is a 2023 graduate from UNC Hussman School of Media & Journalism. During her time at UNC, Katie played Division I lacrosse and was a member of the 2022 Undefeated National Championship Team.

Michael Wilkinson, PGA
Director of Golf

Role & Background: Mike Wilkinson is a Chapel Hill native, a UNC graduate with a degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School and has been a part of the inner workings at UNC’s on-campus course for more than 44 years. Mike began his career as an assistant golf professional at Croasdaile Country Club in Durham. Mike returned to Finley in 1992 and worked towards becoming a member of the Professional Golf Association, a status he obtained in 1998. Mike was named Finley’s head golf professional in 2000 and director of golf in 2013.
Fun Fact: Mike has been married to his high school sweetheart, Elen, for 37 years and they have two grown sons, Henry and Harper, who reside in the Triangle.
